The Value of Divorce Coaching.

For a more in-depth understanding of the differences between a divorce coach, therapist, and attorney, please see below:

Divorce Coach: Divorce coaches educate you about the divorce process as well as help you create future goals for each stage of your divorce or custody journey. The focus is future oriented. My unique approach combines the law and counseling techniques to help you maintain your mental wellbeing, amicably work with your spouse or ex, achieve favorable legal outcomes, and safeguard your child(ren) during this uniquely challenging time.

Therapist: Therapists focus on your past, and linking your past experiences to your present struggles. The focus is on the past, which can be beneficial for individual counseling purposes. However, narrowly focusing on the past in divorce or custody litigation can result in really devastating consequences for you and your family.

Attorney: Attorneys focus on the law. That’s it. Your attorney doesn’t have the capacity to engage with you in the same way as your divorce coach or therapist does, which may come off as callous. But I know from experience that the average divorce attorney manages a caseload of forty (40) or more clients, which requires a methodical and disciplined use of his or her time that focuses on the law. This is where Joerika’s Coaching & Consulting can help. We offer the support and guidance that’s needed during your divorce or custody litigation, potentially saving you thousands of dollars in attorneys fees.

Disclaimer: Divorce coaching services are available nationwide to men and women engaged in divorce and family litigation or mediation. Divorce coaching does not include the provision of legal advice or the review of legal documents. If you need legal advice, or help with reviewing legal documents, please see our Divorce Consulting or Limited Scope Service page.
