Hello and thank you for visiting my website! My name is Joerika, and I’m the CEO & Founder of Joerika’s Coaching and Consulting.

     As a licensed attorney, I’ve represented men and women involved in divorce, custody, child support, and order of protection cases in Cook, Will, and Grundy counties. My children and I also survived a divorce that took nearly four (4) years to resolve by trial. When I filed for divorce, my eldest child was a little boy. When the divorce was resolved, he was a young man discussing with me which colleges he intended to apply to. Prior to becoming an attorney, I was a licensed social worker during which time I counseled clients struggling with divorce and family issues as well as other types of trauma such as addition and mental illness.

   Because of these combined experiences, I personally know the toll that divorce has on every aspect of a person’s life. I’ve literally earned a degree in all things divorce, from the perspective of a mother, social worker, and attorney. Unfortunately, most people navigating divorce and family issues fail to understand how their words, actions and reactions, and failure to plan ultimately lead to poor legal outcomes and ongoing regret, bitterness, and depression. 

     I founded Joerika’s Coaching & Consulting to fill in these gaps by using my knowledge of the law and counseling to empower you to achieve favorable outcomes during an otherwise tumultuous time.
